VN is proud to present in the market the first stereo infrared remote control passive preamplifier designed, developed and manufacture in Argentina.

The VN806 is a passive preamplifier stage designed to work as part of highest audio equipments. If necessary an active stage can added, see Options.

Like the earlier version, the new VN806 has no active components in the audio signal path. His hart are two wirewound premium quality potentiometer (see specification) driven by high precision stepper motors, obtaining 480 volume level steps in linear mode and 42 1 dB attenuation levels steps in logarithmic mode. The VN806 has four inputs wired to output by mean of a relays network. Volume level an others information are displayed in a crystal liquid 16 character backlight display. "Function" mode to set the different preamplifier functions. Four programmable motor speed in linear mode and four in logarithmic mode. The manage of all function are in hands of the powerful Motorola microcontroller MC68HC908JL3. The infrared remote control unit manage all functions volume included.

Active gain stage: active stage of +6db gain in two stages: first JFET with voltage gain and second MOSFET pure class A current gain.

Adapter Stage: Active stage of 0db gain. Monostage MOSFET pure class A.
